The King’s Children’s Foundation was founded in 2006 with the idea to provide a strong foundation in the areas of reading and writing for children. However, the idea gave way to another when a preliminary visit to three schools in Lagos brought out shocking facts of hunger and poverty among pupils that hindered them from concentrating. Thus, its ‘Feed a Child programme’ was born.
While the foundation has other programmes it runs, the Feed a Child Programme has become its flagship programme.
Our vision entails arresting and nurturing a generation of future leaders by enhancing and developing the talents God blessed them with a mission to help make our nation Nigeria literate, inspire and enrich our children’s lives, catching them when they are young and enhancing a greater future for the nation.
The King’s Children’s Foundation has on its board notable Nigerians including Pastor Ituah Ighodalo (Chairman), Mrs Eme Akenzua, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, Mrs Bolanle Austen Peters, Mrs Adenike Ogunlesi, Mr Peter Nwosu, Mr Tunde Onakoya, Justice Mrs Adenike Coker, Mrs Victoria Tandoh (Founder and Managing), Mr Okunoren and Mr Eyitayo Ogunleye( Secretary/Coordinator).
Direct Beneficiaries of programmes of the foundation are children (Ages 3-12) especially from low income families and communities.
The foundation has a series of programmes through which it achieves its vision and objectives.
